Octoberfest 2007

Every year a group of us get together and celebrate Octoberfest in Munich. This year only 5 of us were able to make it. However, even with only a small group we were able to cause some damage to our bodies. Most of the time while we are there our day consisted of walking around looking at the lovely ladies in their beautiful dresses and drinking mass quantities of beer and eating lots of germany food, mainly pork knuckles with lots of cracklings on.

During the trip to Germany I was able to get in touch with an old buddy of my from HS. Damian and his wife Bridget were traveling around Europe and we we lucky enough to get together. It was only for a couple hours but worth it. It had been 5 years since we had seen each other and it was so much fun.

This is my advice to you: If you plan to go to Oktoberfest you should plan ahead. Get the hotel rooms at least 6 months in advance. Plan to get a table reserved in the tents. You must call ahead and book them. Dress up! It makes the days so much more fun. The rest is up to you.

Hey Bro,
It was great getting to see you for the short time we did (It was actually closer to 3 hours). I love keepin' up with as many people from the high school years as possible. Unfortunately, not all of them are as good about reciprocating as you are. I look forward to seeing you in Euroland again some time next year. Right now only God knows where but you and I will make it work somehow. I look forward to reading about your adventures and I'll be sure to send you pictures and info on what I'm up to. I don't have the drive you have to keep a blog, so you'll have to settle for emails and the occasional phone call. Take care of yourself and have fun.

PROST!

Neal,

Glad to see you are still the same old Neal. Adventurous as ever and never scared of anything or anyone. When are we going to get together in the States... perhaps Las Vegas! Look forward to reading more on your blog...

Take care from all of us in Arizona!!!
